Always learning
Zenlytic is hard to set up. We should just say it.
Our customers love it once it’s running. But building the context, the metric definitions, the semantic layer…that takes time. Weeks. Sometimes months of tweaking before a non-technical person can ask a question and trust the answer. That setup tax is why we’ve mostly worked with large enterprises so far.
This isn’t just a Zenlytic problem. BI has dealt with this for 30 years. Every tool in the (former?) Modern Data Stack asks you to model your business before it can answer anything about it, and modeling your business is genuinely hard work. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t solve it.
So we built self-learning.
What is Self-learning?
You simply ask Zoë to add or build or edit your data model.
Just make a request to Zoë in chat, or upload:
- a spreadsheet from your finance team,
- a set of LookML files,
- a Slack thread where someone explained how churn is actually calculated, or
- a screenshot of a PowerBI dashboard,
and she’ll read them and update your semantic layer, skills, and any other data context.
When she’s done, the data model reflects what your company actually means by “active customer” or “net revenue” or whatever you’ve spent years arguing about internally.
She puts the change in the right places (she can edit all context – including structured data definitions, unstructured skills, and system prompts), validates it against the rest of the model so nothing breaks downstream, and shows you what she did.
But it’s still fully governed. Only users with Develop permissions or above can make edits using Zoë. And everything is version-controlled and managed in git.
It’s the same governed data model underneath. Zoë is just the one assembling it, so your team can built and maintain Zenlytic for a fraction of the effort.
Frankly, it feels like living in the future. It’s clear that the days of grinding YAML are behind us, and the days of navigating SaaS menus aren’t far behind. And they’re being replaced with a living, learning data model that maintains itself.
One more thing: Self-serve signup
In fact: It feels so much like the future that we’re opening up the ‘enterprise only’ part above.
Alongside self-learning, we’re launching a full self-setup. You click “Try It Now” on the site, point Zoë at your warehouse, and your self-learning agent it answering your first question within 60 seconds. No kickoff call, no implementation timeline.
So just try it out yourself, free for 14 days. Drop in any data definitions you have and Zoë will sort it out. Get a really smart slackbot set up for your team in a few minutes. Or drop in your dashboards and Zoë will rebuild (and probably improve) them into living Artifacts.
It’s 2026, nobody wants to schedule a call with a sales team to evaluate software.
So go ahead and try self-learning (and everything else the Zenlytic platform has to offer) today.
